United Kingdom Planet Earth @AMZ UK for £17.98 or USD31 shipped

Nice price if you are interested in the UK edition of the series (Narrator - David Attenborough).
Cost is approx $31 shipped to an address in the US; I haven't seen it this low before... got one.

Stupid questions of the day:

How does this work if I'm in the US?
Can I use my American Express card and then pay the conversion fees?
How much am I looking at spending after all is said and done (fees, shipping, etc.)?

Thanks, guys.

Not stupid, we all start somewhere.

If you have a US Amazon account, just order from the UK Amazon site as you normally would do. If you don't have a US Amazon account, just register.

Everything's self-explanatory. Conversion already done for you on the UK site. You'll see as you go thru the order process. Pretty simple.

I too was wondering how that would work. The final converted price Amazon showed me was $31.85 which included shipping. In the past I have noticed a 1% to 3% charge on my credit card statement when used outside the country.

The fees also depends on the credit card - Bank of America has charged me higher compared to a smaller credit union Visa card. But I suppose you could say a minimum of 1% "transaction fee" or "conversion fee" is likely to appear on your statement.

I just read the "terms and conditions" after my last post and I finally get it It charged me in USD so that's the final price after all the conversion fees has applied ($31.85). Thanks benzgrl

I was looking around and if I buy these together the price is 95 dollars (57.93 UK). Does that seem right?

The Matrix/Matrix Reloaded/Matrix Revolutions [Blu-ray] [1999]

Planet Earth: Complete BBC Series [Blu-ray] DVD ~ David Attenborough

Band Of Brothers - HBO Complete Series [Blu-ray] [2001] DVD ~ Damian Lewis

This seems like a steal!

Question

So this UK version has a little more extras than the US BBC version, but NOT as many as the DVD, correct?

$95 is correct, plus add in whatever your bank charges for international currency fees (anywhere from $1-$3 on a $95 purchase depending on the bank)...

Don't forget the Batman Anthology (or Legacy in UK's case) for +-$41.00...

How exactly do I get Amazon UK to convert the price for me? I went into My Account settings and turned on the Amazon Currency Converter under the Payments and GC section. It says that I have successfully turned it on. But when I get to the final checkout page, the total is still in GBP. I also cleared my cache and cookies but still no go. Not so .

Edit: Figured it out. Cannot use American Express to take advantage of Amazon's Currency Converter. You must use a Visa or Mastercard.
