Thought it looked good, so wanted to share and ask people's thoughts.

http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/3...ght/index.html

I think Sony has done an excellent job with the site and the promos I've seen. Hope it does great.

P.S. I did a search of this topic and nothing out there that I can tell. If it is, mods, please move. Thanks.

The fact of it coming to BD is the main reason I took notice and I love the graphic novel. Just hope Ben Foster, Josh Hartnett, and Melissa George can pull this off. I know Josh Hartnett's role in Sin City was a bit 2D, because it really doesn't go into lots of detail on his character, but I think he pulled it off well.

David Slade is behind the lens this should be good...

Hard Candy was awesome and had great atmosphere and tension.

LOL...it's hilarious how they expect you to verify that you are older than 18. I'm not condoning kids to look at stuff they are not supposed to look at, but please...

Cool

I'm hoping this and I Am Legend do very well, because I believe both are blu exclusives and I like the graphic novels.

I love Sam Rami but I have to admit that I am skeptical of Josh Hartnett. He did pretty well in Slevin though, that was a good flick!

I am Legend is not a graphic novel. It is a novel, a great book and a great read for anybody who loves horror/suspense/vampire fiction.

Did Rami do the 28 days... movies? The trailer has a lot of similarities....basically ....the music and the blood. But, am I the only one that thinks this?

Unfortunately, December's "I Am Legend" is not a close adaptation of the original Richard Matheson novel and does not feature vampires but people infected with a virus that among other things makes them crave blood (I have a draft of the script).

No, Sam Raimi was not a producer on either "28 Days Later" or "28 Weeks Later".

I don't know about Raimi, but Steve Niles who helped write the screenplay of 30 Days of Night also helped write the screenplay for 28 Days Later.

Since I've been doing some snooping around on some other websites on the subject here, might check out Steve Niles' webite for other news (a bit lame, but straightforward) http://www.steveniles.com

Also found this a bit interesting as well. http://www.fearnet.com/bloodtrails/

Incorrect. Steve Niles did not help to write the screenplay for "28 Days Later" but wrote the comic book "28 Days Later: The Aftermath" that was supposed to act as a prelude of sorts to the sequel "28 Weeks Later".

By the by, "30 Days of Night: Blood Trails" is acting as a prequel of sorts to the movie. They basically took the New Orleans storyline from the original first comic book and made it its own separate entity rather than having two different storylines going on in the film.

Yes, it is closer to The Omega Man, than the Matheson work. Either way, it should be excellent. I am sure we can all agree on that.

On a zombie film note, I would love to see a mocumentary of Max Brooks' Zombie Survival Guide. I think that it would be absolutely hilarious.

No, I can't agree with that because as it stands with the draft of the script I have and read, the film is going to be an at best mediocre effort (or at worst, just plain awful).

No one is ever going to do the original book justice, seemingly.

Thanks for correcting me there. My source on that one was a bit off, I'll have to tell that person they were incorrect (hardly ever get to tell them that ) as I checked out IMDB and you are correct there.

Well then Sally Cranky Pants, I guess I am not as privileged as you to know the movie already. Also, just because you have read a draft doesn't mean that is what was used. The movie may turn out to be good. I will go to see it nonetheless and I will expect the best.
