I think this is a pretty old concept, maybe I saw it around 6 years ago. But I think it looks pretty cool.

The smartest move Ford is making is bringing the Transit Connect here to the States for the 2010 market.

Yeah, dude, X is right. There's just no real-world functionality in a high-powered performance V-10 in a truck with wood flooring and the rest of that ridiculous interior, finished off by suicide doors.

But since we're showing old, ridiculous concept cars in which the actual concept is to never make it to production, then I present the Cadillac Sixteen, yes, a V-16. Which at this point isn't as impressive since the Veyron has a W-16.

What's wrong with a wagon? For a family of 4 it's perfect. Why get a truck when I can store everything it the wagon and it is slightly sporty? Especially when they make a turbo diesel version that get 44mpg.

The wagon really needs to make a comeback. Subaru knows this which is why the Forester is such a big hit now. Europe never gave up the wagon. For some reason the US became obsessed with silly trucks when there were no real world applications for them for a family of four living in a city or the suburbs.

Of course I know you don't like it because it's not made by Ford/Chevy/GM.

That's why I posted the Ford Transit Connect up a bit there. Ford is finally getting smart and bringing cars to the US that MAKE SENSE. Hopefully they bring their compact diesels here too.

Nice try, but it doesn't matter who made it. I don't like it because it's a wagon.

And the Transit will be sold mostly for commercial purposes. I don't see it in many driveways as a "family vehicle".

I never said the Transit was for family. I said it was a smart move by Ford to bring it here. Instead of people buying stupid 150 and 250 trucks that are too big and useless for their small businesses they can utilize a fuel efficient vehicle.

So the trucks are stupid because the people who buy them do so unnecessarily? I've got an F-150 that I use for work and couldn't do so without. I certainly wouldn't be able to haul away contsruction trash in one of those goofy delivery trucks.

For some people like you in construction it makes perfect sense. I didn't say the trucks have no applications. Like a family with a boat, of course they would get a truck that has hauling power.

But something simple like a locksmith, they wouldn't need one. You'd be surprised how many people have trucks here in Southern California who don't need them. Like a family of four with nothing to haul, what's the point?
