Forrest Gump blu-ray mistake - Blu-ray Forum

So, I just got my blu-ray of Forest Gump today. I poped it in and started watching for a bit. If you fast forward to the part in which Forest just start running for the first time as a kid. The next scene is of him running across a bridge. If you look carefully you will see there is a dual image of forest. One of him, and then a lighter shadow of him right behind him. Am I going crazy or can other people see this as well??

Maybe you need to switch on your motion enhancer

I just looked at that sceme and I saw a very faint double image. I actually had to watch it in slow-motion and pause it to notice. It's not really a double image though, just an outline.

Haven't seen it since it was orig in theaters, but that does vaguely ring a bell.

I just watched that scene on the old DVD and the double image is there as well. It's not a Blu-ray problem. Maybe it was some sort of reflection in the camera lens...

I saw that too, very brief, but it's definitely there. I wondered if he is TOO fast...

No, not all the running. His brother only doubled Tom in the Second Unit running shots. And definitely not for the scene the OP is referring to.
