HDMI Question - Blu-ray Forum

I'm Still learning everytime about HDMI and Blu-ray i know this might sound dumb but i have 2 HDMI cables one Long and short cable or do they have to be the same length.

no. They do not have to be same length.

If I use the latest HDMI cable Vs.1.3a from my Blu-ray (hdmi 1.3) which has onboard decoding for True HD etc..., to my Receiver (HDMI vs. 1.2) will the Blu-ray pass all the lossless compressed digital audio formats including True HD to the Receiver?

Yes, and the receiver display should read, depending on the model, either "Multichannel PCM" or "LPCM".
