Default What the heck is going on? (My local B&M Stores)

Ok,
So I go out to make my Blu-Ray Tuesday buying rounds tonight, and my first (and usually last) stop is Best Buy (like 0.2 miles form my house).
I pick up Dracula and Fantastic 4: ROSS, but there is no Day After Tomorrow, Day of the Dead, or Dawn of the Dead to be found. I have them look those titles up. Nope, none in stock, none on order.
I call my local Hastings while I'm there, nope, they don't have those 3 titles either. I call my local Walmart, same story. I call my local Target, nope, they dont have any of those in stock or on order either.

What the heck is going on?? I've never has this problem before. Am I living in some kind of nightmare?

I went to my Fry's and they had all those except Day After Tomorrow. I picked up FF:RoSS, Dracula, and Few Good Men(I could not find that title the last 2 weeks). I went to BB and they don't even have it on their website and that was checked by an employee in store when I was looking over his shoulder. I then went to Circuit City, and sure enough they had about 8.

I went to my BB tonight to pick up FF2, and it had Dawn, Day, Halloween, and Dracula. Not sure about Day After Tomorrow though because I didn't look for it. I was also pleasantly surprised to see they had expanded the Blu-ray dept. from two to five sections! HD DVD still had the same two sections it always had. This is at the BB in Salem, NH.

In the South Florida area all of the new Blu-ray releases (with the exeption of The Day After Tomorrow) are available at all of the Best Buy stores. In fact, today I bought "Day of the Dead" there. I had already ordered Halloween, FF Rise of The Silver Surfer, and The Day After Tomorrow from Amazon. Another expensive week.

My Best Buy seriously needs to expand their section. They have so many BD and HD DVD's crammed into their respective sections not a single one has the front facing outward and they're crammed so tight you have to pry them out. I guess I could blame lack of shelf space for them not carrying the catalog titles I was looking for, but it still doesn't explain why none of the other stores in my town didnt have them either.

The BD/HD movies do not always hit the shelves on the right day. The dvd conterparts do, but the Next Gens aren't always on the shelves. At some places yes, at others no.

Couldn't find those title either and no Evil Dead 2. Only found Dracula and Halloween. For some reason, HD disks are not on par with DVD for title releases on the dates delivered to retailers.

I picked up FF and was told by the sales man that Day After Tomorrow was not in stock. He looked it up on the "web site" and it had no evidence of it.

I asked him if he was looking on their "real" web site. He joked and said why would we have two web sites. I then informed him that I do read the news and am well informed on Best Buys tactics when it comes to their "web sites". He quickly changed the subject.

I then informed him I would be visiting the Circuit City accrost the way, thanked him for his time, and walked away. He muttered something under his breath. I should have asked for the manager but I had to get home to finish some work I had been blowing off all day while working from home.

My best buy was like this....until 2 weeks ago. They started changing stuff. It was slow. First they doubled both Blu and HDDUD. Then....today......2 spaces for HD DUD.........6 total spots for Blu. My roomate officially went blu today once he saw the difference. This is what I have been saying all along. BB, CC, Frys, Wal-mart and Target are much more important than HD DUD's little friend Amazon.

I couldn't find "Day after Tomorrow" in the Best Buy system either (I work there).
There seems to be an issue with that movie and brick stores. I couldn't find it on circuit city website as well.
