another no show...(Heat) - Blu-ray Forum

Well tuesday is here usually my favourite day of the week cause new blu's come out. This week we were to expect Heat one of the better films on blu that i've been waiting for for ages and as usual no stores got it in today. I went to 4 Best Buys, 3 Future Shops and 2 HMV's. Not a single copy. Anyone else getting pissed off with these release dates and then having them not come out? This has happened so many times now that it disgusts me. Heat was a no show but Wings of Desire was at most of the Best Buys go figure.

Wal-Marts in Winnipeg had several copies, & at 22.83 (cheaper than Best Buy, Future Shop & HMV advertise). Got my copy today!

I also noticed it not at the Future Shop i went to, So i went to the Walmart next door and they had it in stock. 5 copies priced at $22.83

Agreed....This is getting frustrating. NO TORONTO locations (BB, FS, HMV, Blockbuster, Rogers, Wal-Mart) got HEAT.

I had to drive to Vaughn to find a copy.

Yeah I had no luck finding it in the stores I tried in Calgary. At least they had it listed though. Also wanted Spread and the only listing anybody had of that was for the DVD. Even The Tudors Season 3 ended up being a search when that is a Canadian exclusive and should have been easy to find in the first store I tried. Really getting frustrating. Then half the time it is starting to seem like even if we do get something we are getting a crap version compared to the US one when they should be the same like Christmas Carol and Whatever Works.

I was in FutureShop in Winnipeg ( St. James ) on Tuesday and they had a few copies.

I also had this problem with "Glory". Only one store had it, and for the price of 29.99.
I know usually get most of my blu rays off Amazon. Plus you save a bit.
