Default New Super Mario Bros. Wii

Anyone else play this yet? I'm on World 3-2 so far and I'm loving it. The multi-player aspect is annoying as you're constantly bumping into each other or getting in each others way.

I am, it's a really fun game.

I especially like having to use the certain suits to get certain hidden coins.

I played it a bit earlier, but didn't have much time today. I stopped after the first castle.

So far it's pretty fun. It seems like a mix of Super Mario Bros 3 and Super Mario World.

I just bought it today, but sadly it is a X-Mas present for my 6 year old son thus meaning I can't play it till December 26th

I love Super Mario Bros. ever since my first Nintendo System

I am dying to play this game, but am in a similar situation. My wife really wants to get this for our son (seven years old) for Christmas, but I want it NOW. This is one game that I wouldn't mind buying for full price and not waiting for some kind of deal to come along.

I absolutely love the Mario franchise — and anything Nintendo.

I don't like the ideas of the game being able to play levels for you.

I like it as far as if I've gotten though the level to the boss at the end and died and now I can't get through the level again, I like the fact it can take me to the boss and automatically through the level, which I've already beaten before.

I'm really loving this game. It brings back memories of the old NES Super Mario Bros games. I can't stand these new fangled Mario games like Galaxy in 3D where you can bounce in all directions. I really missed a good side scrolling game and this game is nicely filling that need.

It's going to be terrible when other companies start doing this and people stop actually playing games.

Killzone 3! Now with walkthrough mode because you're lazy and don't want to play our game!

My son used his allowance money this weekend to buy it. We told him it was the last weekend to buy things because Christmas is coming.

My boys have been playing non-stop. They think the walk-through is stupid and cheating. they are 6 and 8.

They let me play it a little bit but quickly took control back when I died 2 times in a row.

It was a nice flashback to my youth. I also just bought the Namco Games (downloaded from the online store) for my PS3 -- Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Gallacta, etc.

Why all the hate for the walk-through?

If you don't like it, don't use it... Simple idinit?

I mean, I don't use cheat codes for any of the games that I own {unless I've beaten it repeatedly and I'm bored and want to spice things up a bit} but I can understand why they exist.

Getting all emo about that is like getting all emo because one of your friends eats a meat sandwich in your vicinity and you're a vegetarian, provided he's not being a d*ck about it and rubbing it in your face, who cares?

Picked this up today. I personally could care less if the guide is in the game. If my girlfriend can get through parts she otherwise couldn't and continue on that is perfectly fine with me.

I am excited to bust this open and give it a shot, I'll post my impressions later.

I just don't think games should hold you hands. If you can't beat a game then keep trying.

I hope it doesn't catch on. Terrible idea. Guides are fine and so is gamefaqs. Plus, it's Super Mario, how hard can it be? The only hard thing I remember in a Super Mario game was timing the jump perfectly to do the unlimited lives glitch.

I agree. I'm a fan of the idea. The game is supposedly harder than previous Mario games (at least the side-scrolling ones), so I'm glad they throw a bone to the people who still want to play the game, but are stuck at a particular level.

It's not like you can just boot up the game and start skipping all the levels. As far as I know, the play-through only becomes an option once you've died 8 times on that level.

Video games are supposed to be fun, right? I don't think dying 20 times, and realizing you might not be able to beat the level is any fun.

Nintendo also hinted that Super Mario Galaxy 2 will be very hard, and will likely include the play-through feature as well.

It may be a terrible idea to YOU perhaps, but who really cares? Honestly.

You don't HAVE to use it if you don't want to... it's like cheat codes, cheat codes have existed since the original nintendo {and likely before that as well} if you didn't want to use the cheat codes you didn't have to.
