Ken Ober, host of MTV's "Remote Control", dead at 52

Man, Remote Control was one of my favorite game shows back in the late '80s to early '90s, especially since the show had the mega-hot Kari Wuhrer () as the hostess!! But I just found out today that the host of Remote Control, Ken Ober, had died on Nov. 15 at the age of 52. I am so shocked and saddened to hear of this news. There will never be another show quite like Remote Control and there will never be another host quite like Ken Ober. Rest in peace, sir.

I watched Remote Control regularly as a youth. I wonder what the cause of death was?

One story said unknown causes. But according to Wikipedia, friends of Ober said that he had been feeling ill and was complaining of headaches, chronic chest pain, and flu-like symptoms the previous afternoon and he did not meet them later as planned.

Very sad to hear this, loved Remote Control. Remembered first seeing Adam Sandler, Denis Leary and Colin Quinn, along with Kari Wuhrer (), on his show. That was back when you could watch MTV all day long.

I really liked Remote Control it was a fun game show, but to be honest I watched it mainly for Kari Wuhrer!
