Ummm... am not sure if you've seen the movie or not but Micah has a line in the film where he specifically says: "High Def camera on..."

So it's actually an HD camera, bound to look like Cloverfield on Blu-ray

A MSRP of a Criterion Blu-ray? You've got to be kidding me. I enjoyed it in the theater, but I would not be in any rush to see it again now that I know the ending.

I LOVED this movie and knew about it before most did.
I already pre-ordered it. The price will go down and won't be charged until it hits that price, which I am suspecting it to be somewhere from $19.99- $24.99

I loved this movie...I already pre-ordered it.
For those who want to see it and aren't sure, I'd say give it a rent first because it's a love it or hate it movie.
I for sure loved it.

I never got to watch it in theaters, so I'm glad it's coming out on blu-ray so quickly. Sweet.

See, I think that statement is what built up a lot of the hype around this movie and set it up for a lot of people to be disappointed. A lot of people said Blair Witch was the scariest film ever made. I'm not gonna say it was one of the scariest ever made, but - I don't find a lot of movies truly scary and I caught myself leaning forward with my mouth open, laughing (in a good way) at how scary this movie was more than once. Just go in with an open mind and no expectations and enjoy it...it's definitely creepy

looking forward to seeing it--
just read an article on the movie and apparantly Steven Spielberg was so
freaked out he wouldn't watch it in the dark and saw a special screening
with lights on. He also had some input with the filmmakers about the
ending and the ending used was his recommendation. I also read about
the original endings-- they were grim to say the least!

I was too busy keeping my gf from getting scared to hear that line lol, and yeah I know its near the begining of the movie. But I remember that line.

Haha I take back my comments. It'll be interesting owning this movie lol.

I hope the BD has some good features like the other endings with seemless branching.

I wonder if there will be a steelbook. One can only hope.

Default Wooah

for an indpendent film, it pretty much reaches the ranks of Blair Witch. It is scary to say the least and I think that the execs just want to catch the holiday splurge.

I have to ask - what's the point of Blu-Ray with this title? It was shot on digital video. I don't really see the point. But I guess if the DVD and BD are the same price, might as well go with the BD.

I'm reasonably sure it's HD video, though. Sure didn't look like a blown-up SD feed in the theater.

The Spielberg ending was much weaker than the original ending, I thought. It was just one of those Hollywood endings, totally anticlimactic.

I must admit I had one pretty restless night after seeing it. I'm getting it for sure, my name is going to be in the credits. Just for that reason makes it worth getting.

ya know I'm always interested when I hear comments like this-- I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't comment but I;ve seen plenty of movies that I thought were scary only to see posts with people saying "it's lame", "it's
laughable" etc etc

Name a few films that actually scared you
