FOX News are reporting that Tiger Woods has been "seriously injured" in a car crash. I pray to god that he is ok..

Just checked all the major sites and nobody but a headline on Fox News has anything about this. Hope he's okay. Here's the Fox News story:

Golf great Tiger Woods was seriously injured in a car accident in Florida early Friday morning, according to MyFoxOrlando.com.

Woods, 33, is in the hospital in very serious condition after a single-car crash at 2:25 a.m. in which he hit a fire hydrant and then a tree, the Florida Highway Patrol told the Web site.

The crash is under investigation and charges are pending.

Woods pulled out of his driveway in the Isleworth community when he struck the hydrant, the Orlando Sentinel reported, citing the FHP.

He then plowed into the tree on his neighbor's property. He was taken to Health Central Hospital in Ocoee, Fla.

He was apparently traveling under 33 mph because the Cadillac Escalade's airbags didn't inflate, the FHP told the Sentinel.

Yeah Suss, hard to tell what happened from that report.. It will become clearer later I guess.

Wonder what they mean by "seriously injured"... legs injured? arms/wrists? Abdominal injury? head injury? Could be anything I guess..

wow thats crazy, i hope he's gonna be ok, but i think theres got to be a lot more to the story that hasnt been reported yet, i dont think he could have suffered that much damage running into a tree and fire hydrant just pulling out of the driveway at under 33 MPH, maybe he was going faster amd there faulty wiring in the airbags or something?

wierd. Of course one of the first things that comes to mind besides "is he alright?" is "was he drunk?" Just wierd he hit a hydrant unless the road has a big turn and he under or over steered. 2:30 in the morning and maybe not enough light.

Is it confirmed he was drinking? Even if not.... 33 MPH (estimated) leaving a driveway is pretty fast............ I wish I had a driveway that long!

His Buick sponsorship ended late last year due to GM's financial problems. It was supposed to last another year but Tiger agreed to end it early, and AT&T took became the sponsor with a logo on his bag.

Also, from what I read he wasn't necessarily driving 33 MPH, it's that the airbag isn't designed to go off if the speed is less than 33. Also, police said he wasn't drinking.

Looking at the live pictures, there looks to be no real damage around his driveway or to the tree in question. The hospital where is was meant to be admitted to was called and they said that no one by that name is a patient of the hospital. "Please call back Monday", they said, "and we can check again". Hmm.. Perhaps he was already released from care... Or the guy at the hosital didnt know who Tiger Woods was! They will have to release a statement soon with this now global breaking news..
