you will need a computer with a bluray drive.

after that you can use powerdvd's screenshot tool to capture at original resolution.

remmember, this is one of the many techniques, its just that, i prefer to do it this way.

there are also screenshots of the actual tv screen, look at : https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...ght=screenshot

but thats not ideal for determining image quality.

Size of this image is 205k where as size of uncompressed 1920x1080 must be very large.
Much larger than the jpeg, yes. But it's already compressed on the Blu Ray to comparable sizes and smaller. 3 hours of film would not fit on 50 GB if it were not so.
Stills are taken with suitable software players on PCs.

Hi,

Can someone please explain what the bold terms means, also i had seen DPI/DPX and some other blu-ray terms... it would be great if i can get a link to read about all the technical terms used w.r.t blu-ray

dnr - digital noise reduction

ee - edge enhancement

di - digital intermediate

dpx - is a raw video format commonly used around the world once the film is scanned into digital footage during the di stage.

Hey buddy! I haven't bought a Blu Ray player yet, but a review of the Jodhaa Akbar Big Home video Blu Ray may determine if I buy one or not!
