Do you use Remote Play for games? - Blu-ray Forum

Hi,

I can't really tell you why I'm asking, but how many of you guys use Remote Play for games? If so, how do you feel about it? Would a game that supports this feature affect whether or not you would purchase it?

If not, do you use it at all? What do you use it for?

I use it very often. i do use it to play my physical-disc PS1 games like FF8 and FF9 while i'm on the crapper and things like that. i use it in combination with my PS Eye as a spy tool from time to time. i also use it to brower the web, the PS3's browser has more functionality than the PSP's even through RP. I think a PS3 game already supports remote too, Blue Blaze if im not mistaken.

no i dont use it, ive tried it a couple of times but i swear it killed the drive in my 60gb... i had it set to auto turn on the ps3 when the psp wanted to connect to it from the internet, now its cool and great n all that i can be 40 - 4000 miles away, connect to any internet signal and be able to connect to my ps3 in my room.. but then my HD started running loud and crapping out after that so i stopped... my ps3 is strictly a PixelJunk Monsters host lol and my ps3 is for everything else.. i have an ipod for music n movies on the go

I didn't know you could RP the Eye Toy, that's awesome!

I don't play games with RP often, but I do use it for the PS3 browser, like derek said, the PSP browser sucks. It's better to RP the PS3 browser.

i use to play ff7 that i downloaded to the ps3. also use it to stream music from my external hard drive to the psp while im in bed.

i've only got it to work within the internal network. can't get it to work from other locations. are there special settings on my router to allow that?

I tried it once and it was painfully show. I don't want to see my PS3 crawling like that so I haven't tried again.

Hmmm.... I have the PSEye and also didn't know about the RP eye option... Could be useful.

I use it so my 3 year old can play Lego Batman when we are away from the house. Like, when we are at the store and he wants to throw a temper tantrum in the middle of the store.....

Remote play has saved my sanity on a number of occasions.
