Strange anomaly on ABC's 16x9 broadcasts - Blu-ray Forum

Anyone seeing this? It's a horizontal line of what looks like white dead pixels in the lower left corner (all the way left and only about an inch up from the bottom)

I first noticed it during the Big 12 Championship game. Checked a off & on yesterday and it was on there. Didn't look this morning.

I wonder if this is being added by your local station. I watched a few seconds of the game and didn't notice anything unusual.

Frequently, local stations manipulate the feed from the network, frequently recompressing the original to open up bandwidth for other subchannels (like 24 hour weather or local news stations).

I notice this on most ABC shows we watch.

Yeah, the main thing I haven't figured out is if it's a national ABC problem or local ABC affiliate problem. I have Cox Cable but it appears on my parent's DirecTv also.

I'm in the OKC area. Where are you BLUmbGUY?
