Default How will WB handle HP 7.1 and 7.2?

Just wondering, not sure how much I want to pay for 2 movies of the same book.

They'll handle them as 2 separate movies, because that's what they are. No different than the Kill Bills or the Lord of the Rings films. My guess is that we'll see the release of the first film on blu-ray (and DVD) in time to be a tie-in with the second film's theatrical release. I'm hoping they'll include some movie cash for part 2 with the release.

They might do that eventually, but they will initially come out as separate releases, since the first movie comes out in 2010 and the second comes out 8 months later in 2011, so they will release the first BD before the second opens theatrically.

yeah, that sucks.

even if it was in 1 case, it would be on multiple discs i would assume. will have to hit up the custom cover thread after both movies are out!!!

Keep dreaming. We are still waiting for Kill Bill The Whole Bloody Affair and Grindhouse(with full uncut movies, trailers and concession commercials).

Everyone should know this obvious gameplan by now: First will come the separate releases, then the deluxe editions, then the "ultimate editions" & finally the uber box set of all the HP ultimate editions. It twill happen!

So if 7 is The Deathly Hollows, then what will 8/7.5 be?

Part 7 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I

Part 8 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II

Simple enough.

No, there will be a regular then ultimate. No deluxe. Actually... It may just be an ultimate.

Doubt it though. They like money.

They better release regular editions and not just the ultimate editions. I hate those BIG BOX releases. And I want to finish out my Potter collection of non-ultimates. Sure, the extended versions included are tempting. But I still refuse to buy the BIG BOX of junk they're in. Oh well.

And who doesn't like money?

Book 5 ought to have been 2 movies, but Yates had a trip about wanting to make the shortest film out of the longest book. Boo.

Its a movie based on a popular book. I doubt it will be as good as the book but still after all its Harry Potter and it has that magnet that will absorb people into it.

The "Ultimate" box releases of the Harry Potter films aren't bogged down with worthless junk. They don't include a police badge or a luggage tag or a watch. They include the movie, the extras, and a digital copy, all stuck inside a nice digipack. And trust me, it would be very easy to come up with something worthless to include. First film could come with a philosopher's stone, second could come with Tom Riddle's diary, third could come with a lenticular wanted poster of Sirius Black, etc.

These releases are seriously conspicuously LACKING junk.
