Hello fellow Blu-ray members, the name is scotty, im new to the forum and the whole home theater world haha.. but i just want to get some idea's on setups with the tv i just recently purchased on black friday. I have a 46" Samsung LCD HDTV Model=LN46B640., was wondering if anyone else has this tv? just wanna get youre opinion about the tv.

Do you have any current audio equipment, CD player, Turntable, Receiver/Amp, or Blu-ray player???? What are you starting with...... what is your "Goal" and how deep are are your pockets

well all i have so far is my 46" samsung LCD HDTV along with a Sony - BRAVIA 1000W 5.1-Channel Home Theater System (Model: HT-SS36). i got it as a xmas from my bro in law since he just himself purchased his 52" XBR9 Sony Bravia LCD HDTV.. as far as pocket size, i have no limit yet lol. just looking to see whats out there, thats good and worth a buy. i dont wanna go ALL out just have a nice little setup. like with the home theather i have is nice yea, but i will eventually later on go BIG =]

I live in an apartment, as do many of us, and I can tell you for a fact that a good audio system will do wonders for your Blu-ray experience without cranking it up.

Buy a decent AVR, and start with a pair of fronts, or fronts/center and build from there...... You can always move the fronts to the surrounds if you "plan ahead" to do so..... just depends on what you are willing to wait for, how much you want to spend now vs. later, etc..... I personally would buy an AVR, and the best possible pair of speakers I could find/afford for the fronts, and start with a nice 2-channel setup.
