They don't talk about pcm, video bitrates, or studio support not very informative.
they make it seem like there's no difference at all. http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.htm...blurayforum-20 Last edited by bluskiff; 10-11-2007 at 12:21 AM. |

What's on that site is accuate. The problem is that it's incompleteness favors HD-DVD. Like audio quality on the chart doesn't even mention PCM. Also bit rates are not mentioned on the chart. The average person may not understand this but that's why it needs to be explained to the right. For the most part the chart shows features and capabilities that don't explain why blu-ray is better. It does show capacity, but doesn't explain the extra quality and features that blu-ray can offer because of the higher bit rates and increased storage space.

It may have looked accurate, but they should have placed both versions on there for people to look at. As it is appears here, Amazon, supposedly being neutral, is showing bias by not showing the Blu-version as well. If the information was being shown on hddvd.com or blu-ray.com, I might expect biased information, but sorry friend, appearances shows there is bias there.

I'm scared to see what their LCD/Plasma comparision is
1080p/1080, sound/sound, widescreen/widescreen They could have at least named the studios involved. I'm sure that makes a big difference to many. |
