Um... VERY misleading description. It includes everything you need for an excellent Blu-ray experience, except a TV... oh, yeah -- and a Blu-ray player.

Target and Amazon need to get that fixed.

Yes. I had to squint at the picture to make sure that the flat appliance is not BDP-S300.

Sony seems to have designed the HT receiver to match the BDP-S300 though. Stacked together, they would look awesome.

P.S. Same item on Sony site: "Blu-ray Disc™ Matching Component Home Theater System"

Yeah, I agree. They're definitely designed to look good together.

Searching the model number, Circuit City is carrying it in store. I imagine they'll have some combo offers with the S300. But Target/Amazon is going to confuse A LOT of people with their description.

My bad. I really thought that it was one of their home theaters with a blu-ray player built in.

No prob. It's not the first time (and wouldn't be the last either) retailers confused people with their description.

Just think of all those people who bought Planet Earth on HD DVD thinking it will play on their DVD player connected to an HDTV.

Hey thanks buddy. I've been here almost every day though, some days more than others of course. It's good to be around people who enjoy the same hobby and, are really very nice (as opposed to...ok ok no more ranting ).

enjoy

Check out the SonyStyle link:

http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/...52921665186457

It has 3 HDMI inputs (one output) with 1080p support. No advanced audio decoding but that's not a problem of course if you connect it to a player that can decode Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD MA.

It's a really nice price for an entry-level HDMI HT system.

And you can't beat the design. This baby is going to look sooooooooooo sexy with an BDP-S300 and Bravia XBR4 LCD.

enjoy

So one assumes that, obviously this can be hooked up to any BluRay player, not just the 300?
