Resident Evil on Blu-Ray

Anybody know when the origional resident evil will be out?

I have been looking for a while it is listed on the movie sheet (blu-ray.com) but i have yet to hear any anouncement? Are they waiting to release a box set with Extinction?

Not sure but it seems that the sequals of many films are getting released before the original releases, an example is Underworld.

i don't think there is U.S release set for Resident evil but

I heard it is region coded and EU is region B my player is A. And from what i've heard Sony codes in the EU.

Unless someone knows its region free

Almost no European releases are region coded today. Sony does NOT region code any movies in Europe. They are only releasing region free titles, even for day-and-dates.

Resident Evil in Germany have not been released yet and it's distributed by Highlight. No word on their region coding exists yet but because it's a neutral studio AND it's in Europe it should be region free. So far is New Line the only neutral studio that uses region coding and they will then have HD-DVD on hold instead...

Cool if they aren't region coded than I will probably pick it up.

Does paramount region code? I know they aren't the distributors and that other companies have the distribution rights so I was hoping if sony doesn't code maybe they don't code. both top gun and blades of glory are both being released in EU both in Germany www.amazon.de

He updated the price in a later post. It's SRP is $38.95. I should have pointed to that post also. Sorry.
