Even if bb jacks it up if you can snag it for about $60 which i think it might go for do it. I'm trying to watch 2 ep a night.
msrp $140.00 x .5 = $70.00

Had a lucky experience yesterday, I ordered IB, The Hangover and a Laptop on BestBuy.com. I usually order my BD from Amazon but I needed to grab a Laptop as a xmas gift and BB matched Amazons prices on the movies so I just figured I would go pickup everything from my local BB.

I received the email stating that my order was ready, drove over to pickup the items. I get there and they tell me there was a problem with my order that the laptop was not in stock and not available for shipping so they applied a $25 discount to my remaining items. So I walked out of BB with IB Blu and The Hangover Blu for $11 and change.

Not to bad and I found a better laptop for the money on Amazon and it will be here by Friday.

Yeah me.

PS> Watched IB last night. I think it is his best work since Pulp Fiction.

I would recommend a rental first on IB. I mean there's a good chance you'll love it like a lot of people have, but it is not the "action" movie like you'd think. It actually gets pretty long and boring in the middle and unless you're fluent in French and German, there's a lot of reading going on.

I enjoyed many of the scenes, but I didn't feel like it was worthy of multiple views. I guess I was hoping for something more along the lines of Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction.

Thank you can I did post the MSRP is $140 and yes $70 is correct but I think BB might take some money off the MSRP and list it a little lower, I have no proof on it but just saying. More than likely though it will be $70 after 50% off.

Examples: The Wire is $89.00 Sale price making it $179.98 MSRP which it really lists for $249.99

Sopranos Series is $119.99 sale price making it $239.98 MSRP which it list really at $299.98

Those are DVD only versions though

Rome on DVD at BB is listing right now for $84.99 and the sale price is $42.49 which would be 50% Rome BD is $99.99 right now we can only guess what BB will do with the BD versions that are available.

Yea my cut off point would be about $12 too but I have such a hard time getting stores to PM and the 2 Targets by me barley have any BD and then they still don't want to take the $5 off target coupon I still haven't been able to use it but oh well I still got plenty of good deals this last month on BD.

Anybody who expects a complete action movie from a QT is a little foolish.

Yes and yes. Both are fantastic. If you like Tarantino movies Basterds is a definite buy. I don't think it was as good as Kill Bill I and II or Pulp Fiction but still a great movie.

Rome is a definite buy as well. It's my favorite HBO show to date. Ya, I even enjoyed it more than Sopranos which is saying something.

I also blind bought these both as well.
Sadly, I've only been able to get around to watching Inglourious Basterds, and while I thought it was great and QT's best work since Pulp Fiction, I didn't find it to be the "best of 2009" like alot of people I know said it was.

I have yet to watch Rome yet (want to watch that once I'm done with all my other films / shows) so I'm hoping I enjoy it better than IB, which I'll probably very rarely watch.

Rome is fantastic. It has a lot of replay value too. It's based on historical events starting with Caeser's vistory over Gaul through Octavian's rise to power.

And it was only two seasons too. Normally I like for my favorite series to last longer but in the case of Rome they ended the series at exactly the right time. The show encompassed the most fascinating era in Roman history - the era of Julius Ceaser, Pompey, Mark Antony, Cleopatra and Octavian. I love series that end while they are still on top.

Hey guys, I blind bought Rome when it was $60 on Amazon, and it's still sealed. I Netflixed episodes 1-5 and I really like the show so far, but I'm not sure if it has enough replay value. I'm sure it gets even better since all of you guys like it so much. And I'd love to keep the show if it's good enough to revisit. What do you think, should I just open it?

Your call. I'd open it. I loved both seasons but consider Season 2 to be even better than Season 1. The series gets better and better as you go along IMO.
