MY 60" 151 Kuro Elite is getting a little brother next week , A new in the box 101 from BB for 2500.00 . I made them an offer and they took it !
I think this TV has some 10th Gen Tech in it , like the 500m , should have a slightly better Pic Quality than other Kuro Elites , I will line the 101 and 151 up side by side and see. In the Magnolia center @ BB, the Pioneer 101 stood out against the other TV's ,made some of them look really poor . Later Mark |

Yeah, BB has them listed for $3000, but I was told from two different stores that I could purchase it for $2500. Great tv though. I would rather buy one of the display models of the 151 or 141 if you can find one, for an extra $1000 though. $2500 is still a lot of money for a 50", but since you already have the 151 enjoy the 101.

An excellent deal on an amazing display! Congrats!! I know what you mean about the Pioneer standing out amongst the other displays. Our local BB has an opened box 5020 hanging around a bunch of LCDs, not that it's a fair comparison by any means but even the lower tier Pioneers look great. They want $1599 for the 5020 which is still a good deal, IMO. Every customer I noticed, walked right by the 5020 and would stop and look at the oversaturated LCDs.

The only time people seem to notice the superiority of the Kuro is when they are in the Magnolia viewing room. I've seen people stop dead and their tracks and stare for a little bit...and then they notice the price and keep walking. LOL. The average person wants to pay a lot less. That's the reality of it. If I were you I'd grab that 5020FD ASAP! That's a very good price and you will still get the full warranty for it. Sooner or later someone else who knows their TV's will stumble into that store and snatch it up if you don't. |

i bought my krp 500m for $1500 shipped. I still dont understand how i have the wordst best panel as judged by many PQ purists and gurus but paid a ridiculously stupid cheap price. The MSRP on this was supposedly $3999 by vanns.com as told to me by the CSR.
it makes no sense whatsoever. Not that im complaining but it makes no godly sense whatsoever to have the best panel in the world and pay a price you normally would for some shitty ass no name knockoff generic cheap panel. |

I saw 2 open box 101's today. One was 2699, and the other 2500. I can get one new in box for that price and they won't come down past 2500. BTW- their cost on them is 2250. They said they need to make at least a 200 profit on them. I might wait until all 60 of the warehouse ones are gone and get an open box 101 cheap. Once the warehouse ones are gone they have more room to reduce the price on them.

Can you people post where you are located to get one for $2500 plus Tax. Here in California I had access to one new one and the Manager stated he could locate one more new one only.
Best I could do was $2899 plus Tax and they threw in the stand. I thought I did alright with this deal. Quote:

What you paid for it is a steal IMHO. All you have to do is look at schemebay and Kuro's are being snapped up. Some peole are paying $5K for the 60" Elite at present.
I researched this one extensively before I pulled the trigger. Although I did not do as well as you people to find a new one in the box in this area has become quite the feat. I had mine in the truck and home within an hour. Stand price I knew about but they had a new one in the box already. Stand at $99 so a $300 premium with the CA wages etc... over you guys is not much considering the scarcity and I cannot use a 60". Some enterprising individual could make a little bit of money by buying a truck load. |

At the local Best Buy in Fairfield, I saw a PRO-141 on display for $4,000 and a PRO-111 for $4,500. A little backwards, I know. If I wasn't paying for a wedding, I'd snatch up the 141. There were no open box tags on the TV's so I'm thinking they might have a couple in the back.
