Default Anyone using California Audio Labs equipment?

Hey guys,

I'm just curious if there is anyone else out there running Cal Labs equipment in their current setup...

I just found out that the cl-2500 amplifier can be switched into stereo operation via a network connection (r232) to the matching processor.....I am looking for feedback as to how this performs....

thanks guys!

Bri

Very nice looking & powerful amp. I Googled California Audio Labs & didn't get much response. Are they still in business? If not what happened? When?

Thanks...

Do you think since I am going 2 channel only- would 2 emotiva signature monoblocks be better than my current cal labs? Please share your thoughts...

thanks,

B

California Audio Labs is officially out of business. You may be able to buy some of their used equipment on Audiogon.

Thanks Big Daddy and crew for your feedback.....I'm really trying my to get the most out of my Montana loudspeakers....I know they just love power!

Back to my initital concern.....Since I am now going 2 channel....would the emotiva monoblocks outperform my current setup? As you can see from my gallery, I am using the Cal labs...( which is a 5 channel amp ) to power my mains.

I know at first glance you may think the mono's would be better....but the Cal labs is no slouch...in fact it used to be the most powerful 5 channel amp in production...

But I still love the idea of having monoblocks... So which is the better??

thanks guys..
