Default Movies That Scream ReMake

OK, I am watching Alexander and I know that Alexander The Great is spinning in his grave. This movie needs Ridley Scott for sure, to make this right. There also needs to be a good movie about Jack the Ripper, From Hell is ok, but a more realistic treatment is needed. An example of a good remake, I think, would be the last King Kong.

On a more serious note, I'd like to see Romeo & Juliet get a newer, better adaptation, not sure who I want to do it though.

Yeah, I have not seen a Romeo & Juliet that I liked so that would be cool. And not remakes, but JJ Abrams definitely needs to make 3-4 more Star Trek movies with this same task. But has he ever made a movie sequal? I know he produces TV series, of course. But really, I needs me some more Star Trek.

Yeah, and Max Payne, although that was a better movie then Doom.

I think the Warriors should be re made, by someone like Quentin Tarantino or someone that can make it more violent and bloody.

My gut reply is "none". I would like to see more original works out there rather than rehashing stories over and over. Is Hollywood that hard up for original thinkers?
There have been good remakes, but I think real artists can do better than redoing someone elses work.

That's a way to look at it. I think there have been some great stories butchered too that deserve better treatment.

I agree with Max Payne. No Mark Wahlberg, no Ludacris.

I haven't seen The Punisher yet, previews looked good and I like they dude that star in in from Hung on HBO. Might give that try soon, hope it doesn't need a remake.

Well, made it to the Intermission of Alexander. Screw it, Wedding Crashers is going it. Not in the mood for more bad British accents and crap storyline.

I just realized Oliver Stone did Alexander, W.T.F. happened? Kevin Costner would have made a better Alexander, or even Michael J Fox or hell, Al Pacino! Anyone from his movies that were great, JFK, Platoon or Any Given Sunday. lol. Wow, this film is a train wreck.

Because there are some horrid Blu-Ray movies not worth the cost of the plastic they burn them on.

Death Wish needs a face lift.
Would love to see David Fincher do a Hellraiser remake.
Dark Crystal would be killer if it had a more "Pan Labryinth" look and feel to it.

You are right about Death Wish, I saw it as a kid with my dad. He took me to all those movies in the 70s. Don't know how I didn't turn out to be a serial killer. Just as long as they do it right, some of these remakes make the older films look like masterpieces. The Get Away remake wasn't bad. Haven't seen The Hitcher remake, but read it wasn't bad either.

I think that we need to stop with the remakes for a while. Not all of them are bad or anything I've actually like many of them but to me the whole re-make thing is getting old. I want to see some new stuff instead of some old remade stuff, for right now.

Superman - Forget the CGI and bloated story. Just one good story that shows us the boy scout has still got it.

Freaks - Only if the producers do not use visual effects or CGI, use people with real deformities just the original.
