You're welcome--We're only too HAPPY to intervention, and say that if you genuinely need the help of strangers to decide what to spend $34.99 on without ever having heard of in your life, it might be time to spend it more wisely on a Netflix rental membership...

Haven't seen Moon yet, but I would definitely say The Hurt Locker is worth a blind buy if you can find it around $20.

I'd say The Hurt Locker would be the blind buy, but Moon is easily worth a purchase too. But the blind buy would be Hurt Locker.

I haven't seen The Hurt Locker yet, although I've heard nothing but excellent things about it.

I saw Moon this past summer, and loved it. I'd definitely recommend it.

I'll recommend Moon. I've seen the Hurt Locker, it was a good film, but I just didn't see the greatness in the film that it's being praised for. Looks like I'm one of the few though.

The Hurt Locker all the way. It's a flawless film. It's brilliantly paced, shot, edited, acted, written, and directed. It's the best film I've seen all year and the best film I've seen since The Dark Knight came out in theatres. One thing that makes it so fantastic is how it's not political at all. It's a character study with some of the most suspenseful action scenes I've ever seen. My heart was racing the first time I saw it and it still skips a beat in a few scenes. It's as emotionally intense as it is suspenseful. Moon was great, but The Hurt Locker will blow you away, no pun intended.

These two movies receive my upmost recommendations! Hurt Locker was intense and very well directed. The Moon is so dark, it's eneveloping. It's one of the best sci-fi movies I've seen this decade.

Both are great and worthy purchases...but if I had to pick one it would be Moon because I like the genre more.

So, I've got both films reserved through Redbox. I know it's not Blu-ray, but whether or not I buy will come down to if I like the film; the PQ and AQ here really isn't in question.

That said, I have half a mind just to pull the trigger on The Hurt Locker and wait for a better price where Moon is concerned.

THIS. I will not be shelling 29.99 for Moon. I don't plan to buy Blu-rays at that price.

Neither, I never recommend blind buy, rent them first and see if they are worth adding to your collection

Personally I'd reccomend both of them. I saw both in theaters and look forward to seeing both of them again on Blu. Two very different films obviously, not knowing your likes though I could see some people being turned off by Moon. I really enjoyed it, the score by Clint Mansell is incredible. I really loved the job he did on The Fountain and in this movie he did it again. Bottom, line is I reccomend both but I have some friends who I could see watching Moon and hating it because it's limited in scope, as in all takes place in one place and they would complain, "nothing happened"... blah blah.. to each his own I guess but I think most people who appreciate film will appreciate Moon.

IMO, both are a good buy when they are <= $15. I surely will not be seeing them multiple times. They are good movies but nothing great about them. As I said in a previous thread, there is a reason why those two were a limited release They are not everyones cup of tea.
