Default Spring will be easy on my wallet :)

Looking forward at future releases besides this week and next week, it looks like this Spring will not be menacing on my wallet. Besides buying Gamer, Whiteout, and Saw 6, I think I'm only planning on buying 3 Blu's at least until May. By the looks of this release date list I think I'm only getting Zombieland, and both Toy Story's

http://www.joblo.com/dvdclinic/release_dates.php

Is anyone else looking forward to potentially not buying Blu's? Of course if there is the occasional cheap Blu-Ray at Target/Best Buy/Amazon/etc I'll have to give in.

I guess I forgot about Law Abiding Citizen as well That's a must buy for me

I've also been trying to figure out new releases as well, and I'm kind of glad that I won't be buying boatloads of blus for awhile. I would like to be able to think, "I'll continue saving money and then come christmas time when those great sales come around, I can really load up!" but I'm an eager beaver and I have a problem with buying blus I need to keep buying! So while I'll buy the occassional 'on-sale' item here and there, as far as new releases go, there aren't many that are on my radar.

But then again, there are those "sought after" titles that we have no dates for that could really crush my wallet

- Saving Private Ryan
- Pulp Fiction
- Alien Quadrilogy / Sextupalology (whatever it will be called...)
- Jurassic Park (hahahahahaha I'm sure that's coming oh so soon )
and many others....

Admittedly, my BD purchasing has gone down considerably since the holidays. In the foreseeable future, the trend will continue for the most part. Have a few titles in mind, and can wait for good promotions/sales on the catalog releases I'm interested in.

So far I'm gonna be picking up

New York, I Love You (2 Feb)
Hunger (16 Feb)
Toy Story 1 & 2 (23 Mar)

Will be a nice little break for me to catch up on the stuff I've picked up recently and haven't had the chance to watch yet.

I wish I could say the same. Before the holidays around November I was the biggest DVD goer and I didn't care for Blu-Rays. At the time I only had 5 now look at how many I've gotten in less than 2 whole months

Yeah there's only a couple so far I'm getting. Zombieland, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Weeds Season 5 and Saw VI.

Possibly The Final Destination, The Sopranos Season 1

I still look around to see what's coming out, still nothing really. Thank God though, I need to save money.

wow, no mention of Park Chan Wook's Vengeance Trilogy, which will come in a Best Buy Exclusive Tin Set on March 26th. I'm gonna be all over that one. I'm also looking forward to getting [REC]2, which will come out at some point in the spring as well as House of the Devil, Zombieland, and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. That's plenty for the spring for me.

I don't buy horror/torture movies, TV shows or most blockbusters, so all seasons are pretty easy on my wallet.

Yeah, March 20-June 20. The currently-announced titles I will be buying during that period are:

Toy Story
Toy Story 2
Mad Men S3
Yojimbo
Sanjuro
Days of Heaven
Bigger Than Life
The African Queen
Red Cliff
The Baader Meinhof Complex
Versus
Tromeo and Juliet
Collateral
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans
Battlestar Galactica S2
Fantasia
Fantasia 2000
Doctor Zhivago

And of course, tons more titles that have yet to be announced. So much for going easy on my wallet.

Spring is going to be like hell on my wallet with the video games, and Blu-rays i'll be buying. My only time of my wallet getting a break is right now.

Most studios announce titles only two months before release date or so. So most of the spring schedule is still TBD.

Yeah I know haha I was debating on whether or not I should have gotten it at the time. Then next thing I knew it went back up. Right now on eBay I'm bidding on one. I might get it for less than $30, but still have to wait about two more hours to find out.
