It's currently $12.99 on Amazon, so it came across my radar......... anyone see this/plan on getting it?

The review on this site is "glowing" to say the least....... The second our esteemed reviewer began comparing it to "American Beauty" he had me hooked and begging for more!

I threw it on the Netflix queue, but I'm worried that If I love it, the price will take forever to drop to it's current bargain basement price........ (seems like a risky blind buy to me still though.....I'm just not sure)

So.... thoughts?

I'm in the same boat as you. This movie is so tempting, but I'd like an endorsement or two before I spring for it, even at this great price.

Watched it via Netflix......

Loved it....... My wife said it was better than American Beauty (because I brought up that film due to the multiple reviews that mention it) but that's mainly because American Beauty is too "dark" for her.

I see why people liken it to American Beauty..... certainly has the same "feel"

I enjoyed it. I didnt do back flips, but it was good. I liked the reality of how the kids were onto their parents.

Someone on Youtube said it's the best movie they have ever seen in their lives. Is it really that good? It got a 4.5 rating on here, but seriously... I've never heard of this until today....

Is it worth a Blind-Buy? I think Emma Roberts is pretty hot, so that's a plus.

Only a 7.0 rating on IMDB, but a 3.5 stars from Roger Ebert.
59% on Rottentomatoes, 71% from Topic Critics. 64 a Metacritic, which is pretty good.

I thought it was pretty good...... ended up buying it after netflixing it..... got it for $5 or so from HWV though..... It's a solid selection at $10, any more than that, you'd probably want to watch it first to see if it's for you.

Just got around to watching this and really enjoyed it! Won't change the world or anything but just a nice drama with great acting, direction and story.

My first time watching this on blu and when you press 'play' on the menu, some random trailers play?

Anyone else's disc like this?

I can check my copy.

Since I bought from Hollywood Video (rental store) my copy may be different from retail.

I have one movie with about 7 trailers that you can't skip, fast forward, or bypass. You have to have that 20 minutes or so extra if you want to try to watch it. (It's a street fighter movie that I bought for $3 or so.)

Yeah but usually the trailers will play before the main menu.. but on my Lymelife disc when you click "play movie" it plays the trailers.
