I thought Idiocracy was decent. The first 10 minutes were along my lines of thinking. Most of the rest was pretty entertaining, even if a lot of it is bathroom humor.

I love the evolution of the different industries like how the Carle's Jr. Star turns into an angry face

"Welcome to Costco. I love you." Hilarious.

By the by, I'm not a Mike Judge worshipper but I think his movies and King of the Hill are pretty good.

There are funny parts, but I agree Idiocracy is a bit messy and didn't live up to its potential. It's no Office Space, but it's fairly quotable.

Doctor: Right, kick ass. Well, don't want to sound like a dick or nothin', but, ah... it says on your chart that you're f****ed up. Ah, you talk like a f*g, and your sh*t's all retarded...Don't worry, scrote. There are plenty of 'tards out there living really kick-ass lives. My first wife was 'tarded. She's a pilot now.

[Show spoiler]died of a heart attack masturbating into a cup for artificial insemination *LOL*

Carl's Jr. Computer: Enjoy your EXTRA BIG ASS FRIES!
Woman at Carl's Jr.: You didn't give me no fries, I got an empty box.
Carl's Jr. Computer: Would you like another EXTRA BIG ASS FRIES?
Woman at Carl's Jr.: I said I didn't get any!
Carl's Jr. Computer: Thank you! Your account has been charged. Your balance is zero. Please come back when you can afford to make a purchase.
Woman at Carl's Jr.: What? Oh no, NO!
[She hits the machine. An alarm goes off, and a sign appears on the computer saying "WARNING! Carl's Jr. Frowns Upon Vandalism"]
Carl's Jr. Computer: I'm sorry you're having trouble. I'm sorry you're having trouble.
Woman at Carl's Jr.: Come on! My kids are starvin'!
Carl's Jr. Computer: [the woman kicks the computer, and it sprays a fast-acting tranquilizer in her face] This should help you calm down. Please come back when you can afford to make a purchase. Your kids are starving. Carl's Jr. believes no child should go hungry. You are an unfit mother. Your children will be placed in the custody of Carl's Jr. Carl's Jr... "**** You, I'm Eating."

Frito: Yah I know this place pretty good, I went to law school here.
Pvt. Joe Bowers: In Costco?
Frito: Yah I couldn't believe it myself, luckily my dad was an alumnus and pulled some strings.

I see Western Civilization heading towards the path of Idiocracy.

I really wanted to like this movie, but in the end it disappointed. The concept was great, but the result didn't live up to the idea.

I love when after the credit's Upgrayedd shows up. But I always laugh at the introduction of Upgrayedd as well. God where is the BR release of this movie!?!?

Officer Collins:
[addressing military brass about Rita's background] We did, however have to come to an arrangement with her pimp. A gentleman who goes by the name Upgrayedd. Which he spells thusly, with two D's, as he says, "for a double dose of his pimping".

I thought this movie was great, really funny.

I guess I was one of those who really got into it.

Tonight on Oww My Balls with Hormel Chili.

Great show concept, the perfect evolution of Americas Funniest Home Videos.

I like the evolution of certain businesses like Fuddruckers and Starbucks.

Most important movie of the decade. Mike Judge is a genius. I see Idiocracy everywhere I go now. Actually more of a horror movie than a comedy, if you catch my meaning.

I mean really....how far away are we from this becoming reality? You already see the "Sci-Fi channel" renamed itself "Sy-Fy" for the grammatically challenged dolts out there who had no idea how to read it. Everything will be dumbed down more and more as the years go on.

(Well, actually, we already covered the "How to pretend your network hasn't abandoned its original niche concept in favor of dopey off-topic mainstream original programming, by using a Neat New Trendy Spelling or Acronym that legally doesn't mention actual genres" ploy in at least three other threads at the time--
But when posters keep forgetting that a year later, THAT's "dumbing-down"... )
