Thumbs up Blades Of Glory on HD-DUD - A Blessing In Disguise!

Man oh man. I decided to watch this OnDemand from Comcast and I have to say, this is the dumbest movie I have ever seen. Yes there are some "funny" parts, but 98% of the movie is pure crap. Where the hell did they come up with this? Let alone, what sick twit came up with it.

Thank the good lord this ended up on HD-DUD and NOT Blu. Thank you thank you thank you!!

Oh... come on it wasn't that bad.

I thought it was pretty hilarious actually. I guess it depends if people like will farrel humor in general I am sure they will like this movie. Do you like Old School? Wedding crashers? that kind of movie?

FYI it is on bluray in germany (relase is in a month or so)

I enjoyed the movie (TBH it has to be pretty bad for me not to enjoy it) but I found that movie to drag on a bit, I've seen better, but I do think you exagerate by thanking the good Lord that it was on "HD-DUD" instead of Blu, the more movies we get on Blu the better, as it gives more selection for blu-ray, I am not concerned with our selection ATM, BD is doing great!

Anchorman and Talladega Nights were hilarious. Old School was pretty good to and i really liked Elf for what it was (a cute family movie for the holidays). Liking Blades of Glory has nothing to do with liking Will Ferrel. You would have to be high to enjoy that movie, in fact, my friend saw it when he was high and he still hated it. i am glad HD DVD is getting this one.

Wedding Crashers, btw, also sucked. It may have been the same TYPE of humor as the rest of the mentioned movies but the jokes and story were poorly written. Although I do like the part where Vince Vaughn keeps the portrait:
Todd Cleary: Jeremy tried to seduce me! I want my painting back!
Jeremy Grey: The painting was a gift, Todd. I'm taking it with me.

I liked the Elf. It was funny. I also think Will Ferrel is hilarious in general.

BOG does not fall into the same catagory. Not by a long shot. BOG was bad imo. Like I said, it had SOME funny parts but it well, I don't know how to describe it. It's a movie that just exists.

Will Farrel surprised me the most in Stranger than Fiction. I was expecting stupid and actually got a funny, intelligent and actually kinda sad movie. I was pleasantly surprised.

Saw part of Blades of Glory but couldn't stand it.

I genuinely feel sorry for any HD DUD-er that felt compelled to buy it.

I was pleasantly surprised as well. Although I didn't find it to be that funny, I thought the movie was excellent.

Anchorman and Taladaga nights were hilarious. Wedding Crashers isn't my favorite by any means but thought it was ok. My point was they are all kind a similar style of humor. typically you either like it (to varying degrees) or you really don't like it all.

its fairly average , it has its funny parts but they are to far apart to make it live up to Farrels other comic works.

I Like Ferrell movies, so... i liked this movie too

not his best, but still a funny one

And i donīt think that itīs going to be released in germany either.
Paramount has the same rights here...

Iīve ordered it 3 weeks ago, and still nothing...
I will wait, but i donīt think that this is going to get shipped to me...

I liked BoG, but not enough to purchase it. Still I'd rather it was Blu exclusive than HD-DVD exclusive.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times...

This movie is not HD worthy. It is a low-end comedy, with no good visuals or graphics. You only need to see this on DVD and you will miss NOTHING. Do you REALLY want to see Will Ferrell topless.. in HD?

Every movie is HD worthy regardless of what kind of movie it is or if it sucked or not. If we are going to move forward and have everyone adopt HD movies as THE way to watch movies at home then it has to apply to all movies.

I forgot to mention the horrible CGI/Blue Screen transition to real life. You can clearly see what is fake and what isn't. It's like they don't even try anymore

I turned this movie off after about 45 minutes. That's how bad I hated it. It wasn't even worth the $1 my wife paid at the Redbox.

Haven't seen it. I probably give it a watch once it's back on blu-ray, but not before then.
