Pandorum? Need Spoiler answers! (Spoilers)

I just watched this movie, and thought it was AWESOME! Except for the fact i think that i might be a little slow!

Can someone explain to me how these Creatures or monsters if you will, evolved????

And were they really on this Ship undersea for 900 years???

I just need someone to explain this movie in depth to me. It was fast paced and i got lost.

Im guessing Dennis Quaid was the "King"

no quaid suffered from the Side Effect "Pandorum" itself..

and went crazy..

and those creatures must of been a earlier century crew because they looked and appeared mostly as human, but Malfunction's..

It turns out that Peyton isn't really Peyton at all, but Gallo, who was with the waking crew when they received news that the Earth had been destroyed. At the time, Gallo was already showing signs of a psychological illness associated with prolonged space travel, called Pandorum. The sudden trauma from hearing the news, mixed with the Pandorum caused him to go insane and slaughter the other crew members. After that, he decided to play god and attempt to make humans stronger. During the trip, the sleeping passengers were given a drug that alters their body, allowing them to adapt to the atmosphere of the new planet, however, Gallo increased the dosage on some of the passengers, then let them loose in the ship's huge cargo bay. This caused them to fight each other for survival, cannibalizing other passengers, and eventually mutating and adapting to survival on the ship.

It turns out that the ship has arrived on the planet for years, having sunk to the bottom of a lake, but no one knows about it except for Peyton/Gallo.

A fight ensues between the three, thinking that the mutants are about to break into the bridge, Bower opens fire, and causes the ship to flood, forcing the ship to carry out emergency ejection of all the sleeping pods. Bower and Nadia escape to his pod, and are ejected to the surface as well. The mutants are presumably drowned but the sleeping passengers float to the surface to safety.

The film ends with Bower and Nadia looking at the new world as the other pods surface.

I thought that maybe Bower was starting to suffer from Pandorum as well due to the shaking hands, and I thought he was beginning to halucinate towards the end a little bit.

Thanks guys for clearing that up, I wish the ending would of had some of the mutants come up from the water in the pods, that would of been cool

I watched it last night and I was expecting that too.

I thought the movie was okay even though there were some cheesy parts.

Ya i really enjoyed this movie, i was stoked the whole way through until the ending, that could of been a little better but

Yeah, thats what I was thinking while watching it haha.
Now THAT'S something that I'd pay a lot for. Much better than the modern razors and they're jst awesome haha.

I enjoyed the movie as well.

I noticed there was a scene in the deleted/extended section that showed dennis quaid's character pull a lever to drain the water out of the ship. I'm thinking if there is ever a sequel, it will revolve around him letting the monsters out of the ship to hunt down the humans.

Did anybody else see the monster doggystyle deleted scene? That one is going to haunt me for a while lol.
