I was a blockbuster online member from the beginning of the service. After years with them I started having the same issues with wait time for movies so I switched to netflix about 5 months ago. When I first switched I never waited for anything. Gradually things started slowing down and now I'm having more and more wait time. They absolutely favor the newer members. I know people who switch back and forth every few months to prevent this but that's too much work. Besides netflix is the better service in my opinion.

Interesting that you claim they still "throttle" I swear I remember them LOSING that lawsuit

I been a member to 5+ and still dont experience any long waits. It may say "short or long wait" but if it is next on my queue when i return a movie....its the movie that ships.

I have had similar experiences. I let a movie "rise" to the top of my queue. If it's still says there's a wait by the time it gets to the top it usually ships anyway. In my 5+ years with Netflix I've only been skipped over maybe two or three times, and never twice with the same movie.

Maybe I'm just easy to please, but every movie in my queue was put there because I want to watch it. What do I care if I see it tomorrow or a week from tomorrow? I'm not on a deadline.
