Default Anyone get Koh early?

There are a couple of owner reports so far at that other site...both very positive...with one owner saying its the best he has seen on either format.

Tuesday is going to be a great day for BD movies.

It's like Christmas has come early.

It looks like the PS3 launched in Japan today, did it not?

I even see a handful of "I got a PS3" threads and I felt like I was reading on Gamespot yesterday that this was it today.

"And so it begins..."

Didn't receive KoH yet. I probably won't get it until later in the week. Amazon's been super slow with BD.

Its looking like Xmen and BHD are above average titles, but KOH may be the reference?
If true, isnt KOH mpeg-2?

Yup. Average bitrate is said to be up in 30's. It appears that Fox knows how to make a HD release - and I applaud them for that.

Whats your point.....M-peg 2 is still the bar setter on D-vhs.....to which these optical formats have yet to beat.

Don't listen to the FUD..... the Mpeg-2 water is fine as long as the pool gets cleaned with the proper tools....so go ahead and jump on in.

Sorry.. It was more of a statement than a question.

DTheater was mostly 23 Mbps (or 21.5 if there was DTS) so this should match/better the DTheater encodes.

Fox did some great work in DTheater space...

That's good to know... I have no doubt that Fox will bring us some of the best looking BDs that our eyes have ever seen. I hope they set the bar high and make every other studio step their game up.
