Default Question about BD-Rs/REs and the Panasonic

Do we know for certain if BD-Rs/REs with video/audio content will play on the Panasonic BD player? The Star Wars movies are on Cinemax, and I'd love to be able to capture these into my computer, then author and burn them onto BDs. So I have the movies on my DVR, I have a PC, I have a Panasonic BD player. All that's needed is a BD burner, the appropriate software to make it happen, and the knowledge that this will actually work. Will it?

I've also been reading that BDAVs will not work on the Samsung without copy protection. Is this true, and is it true for the Panny as well?

Don't worry! BD-Rs/REs with video/audio content will without a doubt play on the Panasonic BD player, so go ahead and burn every Star Wars Movie from Cinemax.
