Default Too Much Money

Incase the article is removed. Apparently people are pulling blu ray players appart to get the blue LASER out. I take no responsibilty for the article. I did check and it's not April 1st

I think they are over-reaching on this Slashdot article. Far cheaper to get the lasers themselves then getting a player to hack. There is no difference between the Blu-ray laser and HD-DVD, not one you can see anyway. Might as well hack a cheap 360 add-on.

Talking Sonar Blu-ray Laser by Wicked Lasers!

"Wicked Lasers has done the unthinkable. They took the sparse blue laser diodes used in Blu-ray Disc drives and are making cool laser gadgets out of them, called Sonar. You can own one of these very limited edition lasers for $1,999.99. The price is that high because Wicked Lasers buys Blu-ray Disc players and removes the Blu-ray diode for the Sonar laser."

I'm guessing the same as the Red laser pointers, only in Blue, or should that be Blu!

It is a laser pointer and I wonder how the BDA will react to this company slapping the Blu-ray logo on it.
