I bought it when I travel to HK last Fall.
I am no expect on PQ, but on my 50' LG 1080P Plasma, it looks great and I have no complaint at all.
Like most Woody Allen movie, the photograph is rather low-key so don't expect eye-candy-like PQ (well, of course, Scarlet J. is still eye-candy no matter what...)
It has no English-sub, only Chinese sub. (I suspect this maybe direct port of the French release.)
When I was in HK at the time, looks like there was some kind of promotion going on. This and some order items were part of the "3 for HK$200.00" deal at many retail stores. I pick this up and also Woody's Scoop, which also has very good PQ.

According to my friend, there is a Match Point blu-ray taiwanese release, and the film of taiwanese release is longer than UK release, however he couldn't figure out what scenses on UK release to be cut. Anyway, the PQ of both UK and taiwanese release is great.

I don't think theres a UK blu-ray out so I assume he is comparing it to the UK DVD. The shorter PAL runtime on the DVD versus the native 24fps runtime on the TW BD would explain the runtime difference.


Also if anyone is interested in the HK release Renchi.com has it for $8.60USD + shipping. I ordered it last night and with shipping to the US the total came to just under $15USD.

Got my copy in today, I'll do some proper scans later, just some quick camera-phone snaps for now. For people that are into that sort of thing I can confirm it comes in a slipcover.

I haven't watched the full movie yet but I've jumped around and it looks pretty strong. The feature size is around 22GB. Video is AVC with bitrates hovering in the 20's. Audio is 1536 kbps LPCM (48khz/16-bit). The extra features found on the French and Italian are not present. Comparing it to the screengrabs from the French disc in the DVDBeaver review I find that it looks very similar.

I just checked and can confirm that this release is "Region Free" or "ABC".
