Question Scrubs Season 8 Blu-ray vs. DVD

I heard that the Scrubs DVD set has more bonus features than the Blu-ray set. Is this true?

BTW, the DVD set is on sale at Best Buy for $19.99!

The Blu-ray Disc adds a montage featurette "It's All In The Name" and the SeasonPlay bookmarking feature.

"It's All In The Name" is a montage covering names Dr. Cox has called J.D. from Season One to Season Eight.

SeasonPlay, when activated, creates a profile that keeps track of where you are in an episode and creates automatic bookmarks. When you stop playback and resume it at a later time, you don't have to use the Episode Selection and Chapter Skips to get back to where you were.

The show was broadcast in 720p HD with 448kbs Dolby Digital 5.1 audio but the DVD's only benefit is the higher bit-rate for the DD track. The Blu-ray Disc offers an upgrade to 1080p HD with DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 sound.

Wink

Get 'em Steve Dave!

I ended up buying it on DVD last night. There's a sticker on the slip cover that says there's extra bonus features on the DVD set. I'm not sure that this is true, but I figured I already have season 1-7 on DVD.

The sticker is referring to 2 exclusive webisodes that weren't available online. They're also on the blu-ray set though. The biggest difference between the sets (apart from the whole HD thing ) is that the DVDs are only 4:3, while the blu-ray set is widescreen. This one is definitely worth owning on BD, IMO.

I'm curious to see if season 9 gets a blu release. I know it didn't do too well, but I enjoyed it for what it was. And my season 8 blu-ray set looks so lonely on my BD shelf...
