I use my PS3 for Blu-rays, DVDs, SACDs, CDs, Netflix streaming, and as a media server from my PC tower and laptop. It's an original launch 60 GB model that has been expanded with a 320 GB drive.
Eventually, as funds permit, I plan on getting an Oppo BDP-83 to take some of the load off the PS3. It will bitstream SACD DSD signals to my receiver, and it has a better DVD upscaler on board. I'll still use the PS3 for Netflix and media streaming from my PCs. |
