Arrow HIT SOMEBODY - Kevin Smith's Last Movie & It's Hockey-Themed

..........Sean William Scott (a.k.a. Stifler). Ugh. I've never found that guy funny. He's another one of those actors who always seem to be playing themselves, but hopefully with Smith's strong writing skills Scott doesn't have his usual d-bag shtick this time around.

"Smith revealed exclusively to NHL.com that Seann William Scott, who worked with Smith on "Cop Out," will play Buddy, the title character in "Hit Somebody." The script, based on a Warren Zevon song with lyrics by acclaimed writer Mitch Albom, is a story of a hockey enforcer who strives to score just one goal in a hockey game."

I like Kevin Smith movies........ it's his sense of humor that comes through in his writing (I must be his brother.... I find it hysterical and witty) but I have a pretty good feeling I won't be getting this one..... Stifler is usually a killing point for me.

You didn't enjoy Role Models? I thought it was funny and well done.

Hockey movies are hard to do. If anyone can pull it off Kevin Smith, can. He's a serious "puck head" He was in Toronto a few weeks ago for a Wayne Gretzky ball hockey tournament, and was talking about this film on the local sports radio. If his script is good, it will survive the lead actor

Speaking of Hockey Movies....last nights USA v Canada matchup could've been a great underdog film

I dig Stifler, but don't dig Smith. I'll pass for the latter reason.

The only time Kevin Smith let me down was with Zach & Miri. Everything else has been top notch. I'll get on board with anything he does.

But where the hell is Red State?

Kevin took Red State to The Weinstein Company and Harvey passed on it. Kevin stated somewhere that he'd probably ask for donations to get the film made.

I'd donate myself to get that film made. I'll schlep water on set, whatever it takes.

I hope "Southwest" Smith doesn't have to fly to start production.

But hey when I think of failure, I do think of Seann William Scott, so a terrible hockey player he's only goal in life is to score a real goal in the sport that he plays and is the objective of the entire game sounds like a thrilling film that would keep me on the edge of my seat! Oh please let him score one for the Gipper!
