Wonder if Optimum will do a better job on the PQ than the HK version, as the HK version leaves a lot to be desired.

I'm just glad that Cine Asia doesn't have it, or those Momentum asshats. Going on their recent release of The Interceptor,(lovely transfer, horrible movie), even a bare bones, slapped on a disc release would please me. At least the subs will be well translated.

I'd bet they'll use the same master on the French TF1 release (it's probably superior to the okay MegaStar HK transfer, but I don't own to compare) as well as some (or possibly all) of the French extras.

Just got this a couple of weeks back. The Blu-ray.com review gives this as region B locked. I don't know if there has been a re release of if this information is just incorrect, but I had no trouble playing it on 2 region A machines.

The disc is most definitely Region-B "locked".

Some time ago, some of the Optimum early "locked" discs could be played on a couple of Panasonic players (and few others), but the disc is indeed locked.

I guess the Insignia NS-BRDVD4 and NS-WBRDVD2 (and a Sylvania player just to check for unplayable 50hz content) are part of those lucky few. Wish I'd have known sooner. I'd have purchased it much sooner, back when I could only play "A" compatible discs

So, in addition to playing in the above players, I've now tested it in a US PS3. Worked fine.

It's the 160GB slim. Not sure which firmware.
