Subsonic filter: need one

Where can I get one, how much $, recommendations?

I was thinking around 10 hz would be appropriate if it were a fixed freq.

I am planning to build one of these which is an A2-300 with slightly more output

Does anyone use the eD EQ.2 and how do they like it? Is two frequencies really enough? It has an adjustable subsonic filter. ($100 or $85 if I can get the package price)

I may go the way of the Behringer Feedback Destroyer with REW, but it doesn't have subsonic filter, may be expensive with $150+microhpone+subsonic.

What is a good microphone to use with the Behringer? (at a reasonable price)

The Galaxy CM-140, you don't need a preamp with phantom power and it also saves you the cost of the SPL meter. You shouldn't do full range measurements with it tho. It would work great for what you need.

I'm confused, isn't that just an SPL meter? How would I use that to equalize a sub? Does it have different freq. settings so I could adjust each one on the equalizer until flat?

Most SPL meters have outputs for their microphones. It's usually an RCA jack that you plug into your computers line in. You can even use a cheapo radio shack SPL meter, but the accuracy isn't as good. If you are just EQ'ing the sub the CM-140 will work great. It's a good SPL meter too, worth the money as long as you don't intend to do full range measurements. I think the it's accurate up to 3khz, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

Why do you need a subsonic filter for the sub you're planing to build? Are you using a plate amp not designed for the driver?

Thanks, I'll eventually get around to posting some images of the calibration process and a few other things I've been meaning to put up. I'm used to another application, so I'm getting used the the REW interface myself. It's pretty straight forward tho, the initial calibration can be a little unclear, but once you work your way through that it's pretty meat and potatoes.
