Planning on purchasing a new tv! - Blu-ray Forum

Hey guys I'm actually planning on buying my dad a new 50inch(ish) 1080p tv. I'm looking to get the samsung 50inch plasma model 5084. I've heard a lot of good reviews... any recommendations?? thanks!

I like the new samsungs plasma, but if for the same price you can get the new Panasonic 700/750 1080P Plasmas I would say go for that instead. I doubt you will be dissatisfied either way, I just prefer the Panny slightly.
