I don't agree with your comment. There is a difference and deep down everybody should know it. If there is a thread about a movie, it is probable that people who read it have interest in the movie, in many cases the "audience" for the thread probably like the movie.

If you hate the flick you could do several things--
1] simply stay out of the thread
2] offer your opinion in a respectful way-- "I never really cared for this movie--I felt the action was way over the top, I didn't like the actor, etc"
as opposed to "this movie sucks! only an idiot would like it, this is garbage from beginning to end", etc etc

It was just a post to remind everyone of the forum rules. Disagrements make for the best discussions, and increase interest in the thread...as long as things remain respectfull.

This is the Blu-ray Movies section of the forum, used to discuss the Blu-ray discs themselves. Opinions on movies themselves should be relegated to the Movies section of the board. Coming in a thread and taking a big shit on a film in the Blu-ray Movies section is indeed threadcrapping.

Picked it up at Target, no slipcover. Walmart had slips on the 2 disc, but it was $2 more than Target. I can deal without the cover, but it would have been nice to have.

yes, but its for the principle! that new product is suppose to include a
slipcover and target just decides to throw it in the trash!
if you don`t care about a sleeve and don`t take a copy with one its
your free right to do so, in this case however target made that
decision for you!

i certainly did, but i`ll explain it once more for you
most customers don`t care about sleeves and unfortunately that
is why targes policy of throwing them in the trash doesn`t hurt
them financially. if everybody was a sleeve collector, definitely
no one would purchase at target and they would suffer financial
damage, ultimately forcing them to reconsider such dumb
policies of throwing away part of the product, you as a customer
are spending 20 of your hard earned dollars for!!
like i said, if decision makers in the company had ONE brain cell
they could easily think of a feasible alternative like keeping the
sleeves in the back and handing them out upon purchase!
really doesn`t take a rocket scientist to come up wth smarter means
than throwing them in the trash!
maybe such policies should be reported directly to sony, i am sure they
wouldn`t be too happy about this environmental polution with

Just got finished watching it....

Wow. I'm glad I went for the Blind Buy for the Target version. Sure it was corny and absurd at times. But so what? It was a damn fun popcorn film. Plenty of bare knuckle moments, and last minute escapes from disaster. And the humor intermixed with things so it wasn't so depressing was great. As was the movie. Sure it's not a movie that makes you think, but that's part of it's charm. I was actually cheering at a few moments.

Way better than Day After Tomorrow. And that's one of my all time favorite Disaster Flicks.
