1. Why have all the Blu-ray insiders stopped posting on the AVS Insider’s Thread ?

2. Why do independent neutral producers feel compelled to make statements like this….
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...&postcount=344

3. Why was Amir (who is the acknowledged poster boy for spreading FUD about the Blu-ray format) allowed to speak on behalf of AVS at the last CEDIA ?

4. Why have so many Blu-ray supporters that were AVS forum members left that forum en masse if they are truly a "neutral" forum ?

5. Why does an AVS moderator make a statement from the heart like this about how *sad he was* that Target was going to double the shelf space to Blu ray next month.
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=920658

And then later..... give it the old MicroSpin after he read what we had posted about his candidness here on our forum.....realizing that it wasn't too smart for him to come out of the pro-HD DVD moderator closet so openly.

Paidgeek never mentioned the Target thing before I did.

All paid ever said regarding a heads-up to the Target announcement was something non-specific like “Expect some big news soon” or some such phrase. I later chimed in the same day to say “Expect everything to be on Target tomorrow ” and informed folks regarding the specific subject and the day the announcement would be forthcoming.
I actually kept Josh here on hold for several hours waiting for the official announcement by the AP which eventually hit the mainstream press in the late afternoon (his time).

Hell, plazman, knows all this. I challenged him to support his claim by finding an earlier post regarding the Target announcement but he couldn’t.

I also challenged him to find anything anywhere on the internet (before I did) saying that Click would be the first movie to appear on a BD50 disc.

He couldn’t do it.

The list is endless for my providing insider info to that HD DVD dominated ungrateful forum…..more examples are when I gave people a heads-up regarding Springsteen’s Dublin concert coming out on Blu-ray, the number of Casino Royale Blu-ray discs that had sold thru, my specifically refuting the announcement by a French website that Lawrence of Arabia would be out on Blu-ray this year…......Grubert is familiar with that one, etc.

I stopped providing insider info to AVS forum members after I gave everyone a subtle heads-up regarding the Paramount *change of faith* and the Stephen Nickerson *moving on*…..hours before anyone else did. They just don’t want any insider news from a Blu-ray advocate; only cutting edge news favoring the HD DVD format is desired over there.

Like I said, don’t waste your time reading plazman. He’s out to discredit any Blu-ray insider one way or another.

There's no need to try and defend yourself, many of HD-DVD's biggest fanboys lost credibilty long ago, they like to preech to the converted and ignore all others.

We all know the names, they spread FUD, then ignore or switch subject when challenged to back up their claims.

That sure sounds familiar...
On the hd-dvd forums, whenever they say FUD about BD, I respond with links and articles and quotes and other facts to counter it. Their response... name calling, insults, subject changing, feigning ignorance, etc. If I misspeak one tiny little thing, they jump all over it and attack me back. I am quick to correct myself, apologize and figure a way I can use that to my advantage (which works way too often)

Last time they kept calling me a Sony fanboy. I really am not. I like the playstation, they make good TVs, and I like Blu-ray. But I am not a real Sony fan and didn't even know that Sony and Phillips were competing against DVD made by toshiba. When they point this out to me to laugh at me, I find a quote to prove THEY were right, and how that shows I am not a fanboy as I didn't even know that.
I am an APPLE fanboy though... heh heh.

Nah, there's usually just a transvestite hitting his boyfriend over the head with an oversized flower bouquet over there.

I really think that the name of this thread should be changed to "A Message to MichaelBay.com" HD DVD cannot stand up for themselves. They have no guts, they have no marbles (making Major League II gesture). Blu-ray has better support, not just from studios and CEs, but from fans and lovers of home theater.

How did this thread turn into AVS bashing?

I got no problem with it? I mean if that is where it is going great, I will join in. I just kept coming back to the thread hoping for some news from Nelson.

This is not meant to be negative, just stating what is, in my opinion, a matter of fact. I don't really think Nelson will be coming back to this thread with anything new. His purpose was to solicit participation in a debate on Mikey B's website, and that's what he got. I'm sure he's spending his time getting ready for said debate and running things on their forum over there.

I would suspect that his next post might be under a new thread, announcing the day-date of the debate. That, I can't wait for...

Nothing negative there. I thought that the debate was off?

Hey, if they don't send anyone to the debate doesn't that mean we win via absentia?

That would fall in line with what happens there. You prove them wrong and the thread is either locked down or deleted.

I'm guessing Lee Stewart may not be able to rep AVS, darn I needed some good entertainment (in the Jerry Springer fashion):
