Default Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon Fall 2010

Quote:
Disney Channels Worldwide announced its 2010-2011 programming for Disney XD yesterday which includes animated show "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes." Here's the full description:

"The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" -- Further aligning the strength of Marvel's hugely popular characters and stories with the burgeoning Disney XD brand and global reach, an all-new animated series, "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes," will debut in fall 2010 on Disney XD and DisneyXD.com. Beginning with the "Iron Man" and "Incredible Hulk" movies in 2008, the release of "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" follows Marvel's overall "Avengers Assemble" strategy introducing the greatest heroes in the Marvel Universe through various content platforms, including the upcoming feature films "Iron Man 2" in May of 2010, "Thor" in May of 2011 and "Captain America" in July of 2011, all building up to the Avengers theatrical film in 2012. Produced by Marvel Animation, the animated series features 52 episodes targeted at kids 9-14, starring Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, The Incredible Hulk, Giant Man and Wasp -- who form the Avengers, a team assembled when no single hero's powers can save the world. A 20-part "micro-series" that focuses on each hero's backstory will roll out in fall 2010 on Disney XD, immediately followed by the series premiere on Disney XD in the U.S. and, shortly thereafter, around the world. Disney XD, the single largest distributor of Marvel content around the world, currently showcases approximately 20 hours of Marvel series (including "The Spectacular Spider-Man," "Fantastic Four" and "Iron Man") each week.
Marvel's really pumping out all the cartoons lately....I'm still waiting to hear about renewals for Spectacular Spider-Man and Wolverine and the X-Men.

I would love to see a second season of Wolverine. That was some great plotting and action combined together.

Joe Quesada along with Marvel Animation's Director of Development Josh Fine, presented fans with news on Marvels upcoming animated projects at C232 in Chicago on Saturday.

At C232 in Chicago on Saturday, Josh Fine Marvel Animation's Director of Development and Joe Quesada answered questions pertaining to Marvels upcoming animated projects. The subject of "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" quickly came up and the two revealed the line up.

The roster will include Iron Man as team leader, Captain America, Thor, Ant-Man, Wasp, Hulk and Black Panther. Characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye will appear occasionally throughout the series. Loki, Kang the Conquerer, Ultron and the Red Skull will be appearing as villains.

Fine said ""This is bigger than anything we've ever done. This is the classic Avengers show you've been waiting for all your life."

Quesada had this to add "What's really exciting is that you'll be seeing stories that were developed within the last ten years of Marvel, so you'll see some familiar stories you've never seen animated before. The first two seasons are absolutely dynamite."

Hey, just so that everyone knows, all this week between 8:30pm and 9pm they wil be showing 4 different 10 minute (or so) preview of the "avengers" animated, different every night. i just caught the ones tonight and they look great, that's on Disney XD if you have the HD channel, it looked great in HD and it was in 5.1 too so it sounded great as well. also if you want to watch the entire weeks worth back to back, tune in on this Saturday night from 8pm to 10:30pm (showing the entire weeks worth of short segments one after the other)

check it out people, looks like marvel's got some nice animation on their hands. it's gonna be sweet on blu! i expect to hear from some of you every night this week!

I have been made to understand that according to Disney XD that the Avengers Animated will officially begin next Wednesday night at either 8 or 8:30pm so all you animated marvel fans be there!

I have to wait until Saturday I watch too many things during the 8:30 - 9:00 time, on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday and I don't want to watch them out of order. I wish I had the HD Version of Disney XD, even if my cable company carried it I still wouldn't have it until December, they are switching everything to digital to allow more space for HD channels (now will add more than 30) and keep pushing my area back, everyone was supposed to have been switched in mid June.

I have a good home theater set up, so I hate watching stuff online. Picture quality is also not that good, even Netflix isn't as good as the picture and sound quality as my cable.

thanks for the picture Moe, i watched the 1hr series premiere and I loved it. they gave their spin on the Avengers Origin as they wanted it and it worked out just great. it kinda put out everyone's strengths and weaknesses. Me being a big Thor fan (check the avatar! ) I loved it. I love that they are getting in line and getting us ready for the Avengers and other marvel live action movies that will be out in the next two years, Thors helmet, Natalie Portman look to Jane Foster, Rober Downey sound-alike and wise cracks to Iron Man. Interestingly enough, there was no Captain America so he will show up later and of course, he becomes the leader of the Avengers so I am waiting to see how that gets done (his coming into play that is).

the shows last night were really well done animation wise and the sound was good too being that i get it in DD5.1 and the video was 1080i so it looked good and the style (as mentioned by Moe) was very good and I too liked it. I have high hopes for this series. and much like Wolverine & the X-men, I look forward to it being released on blu in 1080p and lossless audio whenever it gets released.

looks like another good hit for marvel animation/movie studios and that's a good thing for all of us!

Have to agree with you Sol....it was pretty good, kinda like the spin they took with the Hulk making a deal of sorts with Banner also they kinda follow the base origin of the Avenger in the comic's which i also liked.

Animation was awesome and the sound was just great, can't wait to see what other marvel heroes and bag guys show up in this series.

I watched the first 2 so far and love it , although i think that thor could have beat that gravatron guy all by himself . Gravatron did have a limit and thors hammer can absorb energy , any energy . So i think thor would have been able to absorb all that gravatron could throw at him and more til there was just an empty husk left . One thing i like was that the hulk has a little control , i hope it is the same way in the avengers movie . Because that means he can work with others and actually be a hero not a bad guy .

It is nice seeing Thor kind of weakened, probably not to Thor fans. Enjoying this show so far, a lot more than I thought I would, will definitely be keeping my eye out for more episodes in the future, now that I know it's not just 8 minute snippets.

The 8 min snippets just gave you a bigger picture of the story that will be taking place this season, episode 3 just showed this pass Wednesday which is basically showing how the Avengers got together...next Wednesday should be the CA episode...can't wait.

I loved the dialogue between Thor and Iron Man at the beginning of "Living Legend." Something to the effect of...

IM: Jarvis, scan for lifeforms.
T: Mortal technology. You'd be better to trust your eyes and ears.
IM: Picking up something. It's faint, but it's alive. Which is weird... because I can't see or hear it.

I wonder what Marvel characters will end up being shown in this series.

[Show spoiler]Tony Stark has already mentioned he was working on something with Reed Richards. I the 8 minute Mini episode Meet Captian America Wolverine could have been it. They used the vioce actor that has played Wolverine and used the word Bub.

Will we see characters like Spiderman or some X-men characters show up.
