No I would like to have this as well, when I was a kid I loved this movie. Sadly I am not sure if a movie like this will get a Blu release.

I'd LOVE this movie on blu. I have held out the DVD hoping for a better DVD release that never came. So, we'll see if it will happen with blu.

awesome film, had the vhs and then the dvd. Full screen unfortunately, this deserves a better treatment, hopefully it will get so I can purchase it for the third time!

Roald Dahl seems to be hot property right now, with Fantastic Mr. Fox being so popular, and James and the Giant Peach appearing on blu this summer.

You never know, WB is also very quick with their catalog.

I want this film so bad on blu-ray. I always loved it.
The DVD is craptastic with a dirty film transfer and full screen.

However, I did rent the film in HD via my Apple TV and iTunes (HD only available as rental though) and it looked quite nice.

I remember being scared of this movie when I was a kid LOL. Speaking of Angelica Huston, I'd love for The Addams Family to be released on blu-ray as well!!

Yeah for some reason it scared me when I was a kid too, agreed again on the Addams Family films making their way to BD.

I'm hoping this one gets some attention with Hocus Pocus out now. Last time I saw it was in the theater. Definitely needs a Blu release.

Why no love for this movie from warner? one f my favorite movies of all time and I can't even buy the DVD cause its freaking fullscreen

Not sure it's available in Mexico via iTunes, but you can buy it in HD/Widescreen now. Before it was rental only, now you can buy it too. Looks quite good and certainly better than the DVD.

I love this movie. The makeup/masks on those witches are so gruesome. It's a really fun and cute movie.
