Default Mount for 58" Samsung Plasma other than Omnimount?

Hi folks. I ordered a Samsung PN58B550 58" Plasma last night and I'm looking around for a wall mount. I like the Omnimounts but they are so expensive compared to others and I'm trying to find out if others have experience with other brands. I saw the "Hercules(by Opteka) HRM-100" on amazon and that looks like it gets good reviews. Also saw some on toptvmounts.com. I just don't understand why the Omnimounts cost so much. Looking for good alternatives but don't want to have to worry about it falling off the wall. Thanks.

The Omnimount is a beast, and you are holding up a 58" television. The Omnimounts are overbuilt, come with all of the hardware to hang it, and you can hang a grand piano off of it, I think.

I got the large PDR version (dual swing arm) and can't say enough for it, after three years of use. I got a cheapie for my Kuro, hate it, and will swap it out for an Omnimount.

Your TV specs out at just under 100 pounds, but if you get a quake, that weight can double, or more. There are also issues of having the hole pattern for mounting not being large enough on some cheaper stands...it's a tough call.

If you can swing it, go Omnimount, and Amazon is pretty competitive.

I have the 58" 650 Samsung Plasma...I only needed a tilting wall mount, so I bought one from Monoprice for $24. Well built, and works perfectly.
