Australia TV on Blu-ray

does anyone buy Tv series on Bluray?
if not why not if so why?

i don't, i prefer movie box sets..
box sets on bluray are way to expensive..
so i limit myself to movies.

i only have "heroes" all 3 seasons on bluray. having alot of tv series on bluray will too expensive for most of us. the only other ones i'll consider so far would be the various stargate & star trek voyager series if they ever come out....

I haven't yet bought any TV series on Blu. I own several on DVD and am satisfied enough with their quality. I may purchase in the future but not at this point in time.
Cheers,
Carcuss.

Undecided on whether to buy Battlestar Galactica boxset on either blu-ray or dvd... The dvd boxset is only $150 while the BR boxset is nearly double that price. But I would prefer getting the BR boxset (even if I have to get The Plan seperately).

Buy the Blu-ray box set from Amazon UK. Cost me $165.

I own BSG, Damages Season 1, True Blood Season 1, Star Trek: TOS Seasons 1, 2 & 3 and Supernatural Season 3.

All have far superior picture quality and given that I've imported most, they are comparable (in some cases cheaper) than the DVD versions here in Australia.

i've got south park s12 and I must say it looks very nice. It is 1080i, but you couldn't tell the difference on such a simple image. S13 is coming soon!

(and I just picked up S7 on DVD... )

But I am hopnig that top Gear will bring out future releases on Blu (and I already have top gear polar special on DVD, don't think there is much point upgrading)

For me, I'm holding off buying TV shows I really want UNLESS they are on blu-ray. True Blood looks amazing, and with DTS-MA, its a big step up from just Dolby. I've held off on Buying Stargate DVD boxsets for some time now, and any Star Trek box sets too, along with Battlestar (which i will get one day on blu-ray, the effects/sounds are even more amazing on blu)

The only reason would buy A show on DVD, is if there is no chance it will be coming out on blu, (or if its like an old English TV Favourite like the Good Life etc)

It's just a regular case which is disappointing because HBO has always had some great designs and they are one of the few studios that I don't mind having non standard case sizes for their releases.

If you only buy 1 TV show on Blu-Ray, make it Band Of Brothers. The sound alone is phenomenal. Easily the best show I have ever bought.

I have 2 viewing areas, my main Cinema area
and the second one I have an old 130cm rptv that I watch tv series box sets that I have

It's not worth firing up my main Projector to watch tv shows, that won't fill up the screen
so I only buy sd dvd's box sets, and buy blu ray movies
