Hopefully Hostel 2 is not a new trend for Sony. That one's expensive everywhere.

It's got a $43.95 msrp... instead of the usual $38.95 msrp for a new day and date Sony/Columbia movie.

Unless Sony drops the msrp, 29 is about as cheap as you'll see it from any store and upwards of $40 from a lot of the brick and mortar chains.

Well, Brick and mortar stores will have it at either $29.99 or $34.99. They aren't crazy. But, yes, the title (like "Close Encounters of the Third Kind") does cost more than the standard Sony new release price.

In all fairness, it IS 2 discs, with a ton of extras. And I think the higher MSRP just comes from wanting to charge stores slightly more for the title due to the fact that it will sell a ton of copies and it is on two discs.

I am sure by the time it comes out it will drop a few dollars and B&M stores might have a deal on it the week it comes out as well.
