The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo with English Subs ? - Blu-ray Forum

I know there's a German disc of the Swedish movie The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, but I also believe there's one with English subtitles, although I may be wrong.

Does anybody have any information of a English dubbed version, and any info on region if any.

I'll also add will that release (In the native language) have the subtitles in the picture.

I do wonder why would you ask for a dub for a movie that is under the commercial radar?

There is a preorder on Amazon for July 6th for the American release. Amazon is listing it as with english subs and a dub, but that could be incorrect as Amazon doesn't always have correct listings. That is to say, it may not have an english dub, as of course it will have english subs here in the states.

I should be getting the trilogy on Blu-ray from Denmark in a couple of weeks. I'll let you know of any English subs.

As the Swedish and Norwegian versions only have Scandinavian subs, my guess would be that the same goes for the Danish.

Ah... good point and a bad typo/brain freeze.

What I meant was (per the thread) was SUBS not dub. No idea where that came from as I hate dubbing and ALWAYS go with subtitles (I buy many discs from Asia and fairly often Europe).

I managed to catch a HD broadcast version of the movie with subtitles. It wasn't "great" but worthwhile. Just about to start reading the second book...

Having read the book I thought it was a really good adaptation - also meant I wasn't shocked by the violent scenes and knew payback was coming! I thought the girl who played Lisbeth was absolutely perfect. Fantastic! I really hope they don't ruin it with a Hollywood version, grrr.
