Kate Winslet splits from Mendes - Blu-ray Forum

This is not the Hollywood ending we wanted for Kate Winslet. Last year's Academy Award winner proved she could delay, but unfortunately not break, the Oscar curse, this morning announcing she was separating from her husband of nearly seven years, director and fellow Oscar winner Sam Mendes. The press-shy couple gave no official reason for their split, choosing instead to announce the sad news through their mutual lawyer. "Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year," Keith Schilling of London-based law firm to the stars Schillings said. "The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting.

Kate Winslet is one of the most under-rated beauties in the movie business, I kind of see her as a more talented and older Scarlett Johansson.

I bet if this was the other Kate ... hint hint ... Beckinsale, Blu-ray.com would be empty because all of the guys who are probably single would be hunting her down. Maybe some of the married ones, but who knows.
