Default Worth A Look? Worth A Look?!!!!!!!!!

Bracke is at it agian. He gives the spiderman trilogy a 4 for video and instead of giving it the usual "recommended" tag he gives lesser movies, he gives it a "WORTH A LOOK" what a complete tard cant we stop his ass from reviewing Blu-rays and get somone less bias on the job?

anyway here is the link http://bluray.highdefdigest.com/594/...n_trilogy.html

Still, when 'Spider-Man 3' delivers, it delivers in spades. The image is razor sharp, and colors are bold with no bleeding or noise. Again, darker scenes are fantastic. Even the most panoramic wide shots are rich in detail, seemingly down to the pixel. Three-dimensionality is exquisite, with the image often boasting that perfect picture window effect. Sony has also clearly taken their time with the encoding, and there are no noticeable artifacts, such as banding or macroblocking
Whats wrong with that?? I don't get the feeling he is hd-dvd biased. Spiderman 3 wasn't that good of a movie anyway.

I am not referring to the siderman 3 review. I am referring to the spiderman trilogy review, which has a 5 for video everywhere else. And since we mentioned spiderman 3, which has uncompressed audio, he gave it a 5 for audio, which it deserves, but then he gives transformers a 5 for audio when they dont even have an uncompressed track. thats ridiculous. Paramount even admit that the disc space limitations prevented any uncompressed track to be put on (obviously Blu-ray would have had enough space) and he still gives transformers a 5 for audio when he knows there are much better audio tracks on Hi-Def discs.

Bracke is biased because I have watched like Underworld Unrated, and some other movies he reviewed and none of them were right like he was saying that Underworld Unrated didn't have a great picture quality and i thought it was an awesome picture quality for Underworld and when he reviews hd-dvd movies he sounds all pro hd-dvd like saying oh yeah better picture quality then blu-ray version or something like that

yeah it does seem strange... in his Final Thoughts, he says the films "delivers on the bottom line, boasting strong video and reference-quality audio."... but says the major disappointments were with the lack of extras from the 1 & 2... hence justifying his 'Worth a look' recommendation... strange indeed...

Yeah, the HD DVD would have had the extras

It's the fact that others looking into Hi-Def will read them that upsets me. Blu-ray movies (especially Disney and Sony) have much better quality over HD DVD, but that site, thanks to Bracke, makes it seem like they are completely equal or even worse, that HD DVD is slightly better. I mean comon giving Transformers a 5 for audio was just ridiculous, and since the stand alone Spiderman 3 Blu-ray got the EXACT same review score as Transformers despite sporting uncompressed audio, people who read that will think HD DVD is equal to Blu-ray.

Show me an unbiased review please! I cant find a unbiased review anywhere. Everyone is paid to say what they say and if the HD DVD camp is paying more then so be it. And yes people may read these before buying a HD movie but the bottom line is what they themselves think of it not the person righting the review.

Reviews by definition are biased. It is the opinion of that one person. Christ, Vincent Canby gave negative reviews to Empire Strikes Back AND Godfather II!!! He worked for the New York times.

That's the thing.. I think people oft forget reviews are just the reviewers opinion, and nothing more.

I read his reviews and take them with a grain of salt like I do all reviews. He is clearly a fan of extras and when they are not there, it dissapoints him. I could care less about exras, so I throw his bias there right in the can.

The conclusion that it's "worth a look" does not jibe with any of his previous reviews in that he gives a 4 for for video and 5 for audio to these discs.

Based on his history, he should have given this a "recommended" at minimum.

But who cares......I'm buying it anyway.

Rumar, there are better ways to have said it. Take it from me, you can lose a lot of credibility by saying the right things the wrong way.

the one thing i learned from working for PARAMOUNT!!!! Critics are critics. their main job is to criticize. they give a bad movie great reviews, and a good one bad reviews. it is part of thier job to bring in money. PLUS, each and everyone of us got their personality. why should we pay attention to bad critics.
